Teacher In-Service Day & Wunderbar Together
GIS is partnering with the German Embassy, the Goethe Institut, and more to host an event on Pioneer Square that showcases the German and American partnership.
What time are GIS kids performing publicly?
Here is a general overview of the morning:
10:30-11:15: Preschool through 3rd Grade Story Time/Open Sing
12:00-12:30: GIS 4th/5th grade choir performance on Pioneer Square
9:00-12:30: Ongoing German learning stations, chalk by number, Lebkuchenherz crafts, etc.
12:30-1:30: Older students watch the Science Slam
Will the kids get fed?
Yes! We are working on getting sack lunches for every GIS student who attends, whether Extended Care or with their families. Lunches will be standardized, vegetarian, kid friendly and we won’t be able to accommodate food sensitivities.
Will I be able to pick my child(ren) up at Pioneer Square if they are signed up for Extended Care?
Yes! You will simply need to connect with our designated EC staff to check them out.
If our family independently comes downtown, can we participate?
Yes! We absolutely hope that any and all of our families join us. The best for all of us is if families can bring their children downtown, be there to supervise your own kids and participate in the activities.
What activities are available beyond what GIS is doing?
If I have questions, who can help me?
Lots of us. Please send your email questions to email@example.com and we will work to get them answered for you.
What can we do to thank our staff for putting on such a great event for our kids?
Great question...we are closing Extended Care at 3pm on October 11 to appreciate our whole staff and give them a chance to relax together after an exciting day.
