Born and raised in the picturesque town of Ghent in Belgium, teaching Physical Education to children has been a passion my entire life. I hold a Master's in Sport Sciences and Kinetics and a teaching degree in Physical Education from the University of Ghent. I have taught and coached thousands of children of all ages over the course of my 9 years of experience in schools and sports centra.
I love seeing children having fun while getting better at a sport or during an exercise. I am a strong believer of providing students with the skills and attitudes needed to be successful to create a fun, active and healthy lifestyle for themselves. I am a big fan of all things soccer (Timbers; AA Gent; Belgium; but also Bayern, sorry Dortmund fans), am an avid cyclist, and love Olympic Team Handball – I now play for Portland's local Team Handball Club, the Portland Sasquatch. I have been in Portland since January 2014 and I am working hard to put down some roots in the City of Roses with my beloved Oregonian wife.
