Elementary School Director
I was born in Mannheim, Germany. I graduated from Berufsakademie Mannheim with a Bachelor of Science degree and over the next few years worked as human resource manager for companies such as Microsoft and IBM.
In 1998 my husband and I moved to Portland where I continued to work for IBM until our daughter was born. I discovered my love for teaching and earned my masters in elementary education degree as well as an ESOL (English as a second language) endorsement. Over the last few years I have also spent time volunteering with SMART (start making a reader today) and have taught Art Literacy at my children’s school. In my free time I like to spend time with my family, run and try all kinds of new things. I am looking forward to another great year at the German International School and am excited about the opportunity to help students discover their love and appreciation for different cultures and languages.
