Amy Caldwell

I am so excited to be a part of the English team at the German International School. I was born and raised in Florida and taught in Arizona for most of my 32-year public school career. I taught in a private school in California for four years and also at international schools in Poland, Germany and Serbia for much of the past 16 years. I most recently spent six years at the International School of Krakow. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and an M.A. in Reading and Learning Disabilities and a teaching certificate for all subjects K-8. I have training and experience in the PYP of the International Baccalaureate program, differentiated instruction, and inquiry-based learning. Most of my teaching experience has been in 4th-7th grades in every subject matter. I really love history so historical reenactments are my thing.

I am a mother of two grown children and a grandmother to one amazing boy. I love to travel, having been to most European countries as well as Africa and South America. I recently traveled by train to Germany, France, Poland, and a bit of Austria and the Czech Republic. I also love trees and anything that grows from flowers to children!
