Anna Colasanti

I grew up in California and Arizona and now reside in Oregon. I’m an illustrator who specializes in children's picture book illustration. I received my B.F.A. in illustration at Pacific Northwest College of Art in 2016 and received a Master’s Certificate in Children’s Book Illustration from Hollins University during summer 2019.

In January of 2019 I started working at a hospital day care in Portland as a toddler teacher aid and later as a co-teacher. I discovered a joy for teaching and especially love incorporating art into the classroom through creativity based learning. I'm happy to have joined the GIS team in May 2021. Everyone’s so positive and works together to create a great learning environment. When not creating, or teaching I like reading, traveling, and spending time with my husband and my eccentric but adorable cat Nuptup.
