Lisa Bauer

I was born and raised in Mölln, a small town between Lübeck and Hamburg in northern Germany. Growing up I always enjoyed spending time with kids and tutoring them, so I decided to become a teacher. After graduating school and spending a year as an au pair in Seattle, I studied at the Pädagogische Hochschule Heidelberg and completed my erstes staatsexamen as an elementary school teacher in 2013.

During my studies my first daughter was born and shortly after, my son. They were joined by two more daughters after a short break, and I enjoyed being a stay at home mom while volunteering in pre-school and school for a while.

In late summer of 2019 our family moved to Portland as my husband had the great opportunity to work in Portland and we love it here! In our spare time we enjoy the outside as a family and travel the Pacific NorthWest. We love to spend time at the beach, hiking, and in the snow.
