Karen Keene teaches Art History, Photography and Graphic Design at Forest Grove High School. She has been a teacher for sixteen years, teaching Social Studies and Art. For the last nine years she has served as the Art Department Chair and as a member of the Leadership Team and Building Site Committee at Forest Grove High School. She graduated from the University of Redlands with degrees in Art History and Political Science and earned her Master’s degree from Pacific University. Her decision to send her children to the German International School was influenced by relevant brain research indicating bilingual education as one of the best ways to engage a child, and by the close-knit, well-educated, and interesting community of families at GIS.
