Therapy Dog

I am a Golden Retriever and my birthday is on Halloween! I don’t like to dress up, but I am the life of the party here at GIS. I make almost everybody smile.

I have been on the staff roster since February 2020, when Frau Heckmann adopted me and the school decided to bring me on as a therapy dog.

I showed them right away that I would rather be with people than with other dogs. I demand constant pets and know how to give “paw”. I am quite the foodie and will follow you anywhere if you have your lunch in your hand.

I went to doggie school and made it to the “Good Puppy Citizen” award. “Sit”, “Down” and “Stay” are manageable most of the time and since March 2023, I have been an official therapy dog with Alliance of Therapy Dogs. Like everybody else, I slip at times. Got to live a little. You should hear them squeal when I make an escape out of the art room to clean up the floor in the lunchroom!

If you see me in the hall, be sure to say”hello”!
