Adult Classes offered with expertise and a touch of convenience.
GIS offers German, Chinese and other classes for adults at all levels of experience. Taught by native or near native speakers, each class blends language instruction with rotating cultural topics, giving learners the chance to practice conversation skills while engaging with diverse communities.
Whether you’re a beginner or looking to brush up on your skills, our classes provide a welcoming, interactive space to build vocabulary, confidence, and cultural understanding.

This class is hosted at the GIS Murray Campus.

German History Mini-Course (in English)
German History: From Kaiserreich to WWII
When people think of German history, World War II often comes to mind, but it did not develop in isolation. Over 8 weeks, this course explores the German Kaiserreich (1871-1918), World War I, and the Weimar Republic (1919-1933) to better understand the political, social, and economic conditions that led to the rise of the Third Reich and WWII.
This class is taught in English.

ᎣᏏᏲ Osiyo!
Tsalagi language practice group is a place for members of the Tsalagi Ayeli, as well as their non-member family, friends, and community members who wish to support and assist in working together to learn and save the Tsalagi language.
This is a self directed language learning support group with no teacher. Language learning supplies are provided by the Tsalagi Ayeli as well as Tsalagi Ayeli members and others in the group working together to save our beloved language of Tsalagi for future generations of Tsalagi to come.
We will also be offering time each practice day for collaborative efforts toward learning and saving various traditional arts and hand-crafts of the Tsalagi Ayeli. We encourage attendees to bring any traditional project they may be working on so that we may work on our traditional crafts together and support each other with any questions we may have or knowledge we may be able to share. Participants must be 21 years of age or older.
Registration deadline: February 18, 2026.
A minimum of 5 students is required for a class to be offered.
Registrations are processed on a first come, first served basis.
Full payment is required to guarantee enrollment.
No refunds or discounts are available for late enrollment, early withdrawal, or missed classes.
