Extended Programs

LERNEN NACH DER SCHULE EXTENDE 拓展项目

GIS offers a quality Extended Care Program for out-of-school time.

All programs focus on independence, consistency, and socialization. Our goal is to provide a safe, positive, and fun atmosphere for all children attending GIS. This is done daily by providing homework time, hands-on special projects, free play, and outside or gym time.

We follow all GIS school rules and policies listed in the Parent Handbook. We are licensed through the Oregon Child Care Division and follow all state health and safety guidelines.

Registration

Registration for the Extended Care Program will be available in the Back to School Packet and on ParentsWeb.

Extended-Care Hours

Before Care begins at 7:30 a.m. on regular school days at no cost to GIS families. Extended Care begins at school dismissal time and ends at 6:00 p.m. This care is provided on all regular school days. For any in-service days or breaks, separate sign up is required. After School Clubs

After School Clubs are a great way for students to interact with peers from other grades, gain exposure to new topics and themes and are just all-around fun! GIS offers clubs hosted by GIS staff and GIS partners with local organizations who then offer clubs on site for family’s convenience. GIS strives to offer a wide range of themed clubs for our students, everything from soccer and handball to cooking and Legos.

Clubs are offered on regular school days and will not meet during school closures. Detailed information about after school offerings are sent out each term.

Tutoring

GIS also offers one-on-one tutoring which can be arranged through the child's teacher.

Summer Program

GIS Summer Camps are fun, adventurous, and filled with learning opportunities! They are a great way for interested families to try us out and get some exposure to foreign language learning. No previous language experience is required to join us at Summer Camp. Look out for updated summer offerings each spring.
