In these programs our spaces are divided by age groups to ensure age-appropriate levels of playtime and curriculum support. See below for more information about each type of program. Please contact the Extended Programs Manager with any questions at EMAIL.
Before Care is included in the school’s tuition, no separate registration required. Children can be dropped off at the convenience of their parents' schedule any time between 7 a.m. and the start of the school day.
Our in-house After Care program starts at the end of the school day through 6 p.m. Separate registration is required for the After Care program. Families can choose from a regular schedule, the flex calendar, or drop-in options. More information here. Click here to register!
In-Service Days and School Breaks
GIS offers child care during in-service days and camps during fall break and spring break. All fees include care between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., two snacks daily, and an exciting day packed with fun activities. Click Here to Register!
After School Clubs or AG’s (Arbeitsgemeinschaft)
GIS strives to offer the most interesting, academically challenging, and fun after-school clubs for our students. We offer both in-house GIS-run AG’s as well as partner-led options with local and nationally-recognized organizations.
Clubs run during the three school-year terms, fall, winter and spring, and include around eight weekly sessions that are an hour to an hour and a half each.

Preschool Camp for ages 3 - 5
Preschool campers will have plenty of opportunities to use their imaginations in the classroom and on the playground. Each day the preschool campers will be offered a healthy snack, fun activities and an afternoon rest time. They will explore the weekly themes through age appropriate and engaging crafts, games and other theme-based activities.
Early Elementary Camp for ages 6 - 9
Elementary campers will have a chance to create lasting bonds with friends all while experiencing the language and culture of Germany. No prior german language experience necessary to attend. Each week the elementary campers will dive into the weekly themes with fun and exciting crafts, games and a field trip to a local attraction or park.
