Karin Wright

Though I love the Pacific Northwest, and have lived here for a few years now, I'm originally from Chicago and still talk fast enough to prove it. My career path has taken me coast to coast, from launching and running a large pet care and dog training facility in Los Angeles, to building a brand new dog-training business and a digital marketing and strategy agency just outside of Portland.

With over 20 years of entrepreneurship and strong experience in communications, branding and storytelling, I'm especially passionate about connecting people through clear messaging and thoughtful strategy. Before joining GIS, I helped entrepreneurs and small businesses across the country to better educate, scale, and find their voice and grow their impact. 

I'm thrilled to bring the same energy and experience to the GIS community, where language, culture, and connection come together in such a unique way. I look forward to sharing the stories that make this school so special. 

When I'm not working, you can find me chasing after my kids, paddle boarding with my dogs, or hunting down the best food in town.
