Servus!

Although I am from central California my second “Heimatort” is Southern Germany, the birthplace of my wife and our two children, Günzburg an der Donau. We lived in Schwaben for 17 years where I taught English, played soccer in the amateur leagues, coached youth teams, and had a gardening business. By 2012 I had completed a coaching license from the Deutsche Fussball Bund (Munich) and received a Fitness Trainer License and Personal Trainer Diploma from the Heimerer Academy (Leipzig). The football culture in Germany took me under its wings; this allowed me to experience the rich culture of Bayern and Baden-Württemberg.

We moved to Beaverton in 2016 and I decide to go back to school to teach in Oregon. I completed a BA in World Language German at Portland State University, and I am currently enrolled in the PSU Graduate Teacher Education Program. I am so looking forward to jumping on my bicycle everyday and riding to GIS!

Auf gehts!
