GIS Veranstaltungslehrerin, Heike Schütz-Malinowski teamed up with Natascha Milde, our contact at the Auslandschulwesen, presented the following information about DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) to parents in-house. This information about studying abroad in Germany is truly valueable and we want to make it available to our school community online as well.

DAAD, or the German Academic Exchange Service, is a German national agency for international academic cooperation and exchange. They have 229 partner universities and provde the following to 100,000 people annually:
• Stipends for foreigners
• Stipends for Germans
• Internationalization of higher education institutions
• Promotion of German studies and German language
• Support of developing countries to improve education
• Support for prospective students in Germany
The largest economy in Europe & the 3rd largest in the world
