We know this season has brought many questions about what comes next for your children. When a school community faces change, it’s only natural to feel uncertain, especially when you have worked hard to give your child the gift of bilingual education, meaningful cultural connection, and a strong academic foundation.
At the German International School, we want you to know this: you have options, and you are not navigating this transition alone.
For more than 25 years, GIS has offered a rigorous, globally focused education in a warm, supportive environment. Our Pre-K-8th grade Mandarin Chinese Language Immersion Track is one of the only continuing immersion pathways in the region. Our Chinese Track was built intentionally for families who value strong academics, multilingual proficiency, deep cultural respect, and long term opportunity.
If your child has started a Mandarin journey, we believe they should be able to continue it, with teachers who know how to support language development from early years through adolescence, and with small class sizes that ensure each child is seen, supported, and challenged.
Most importantly, we understand the hopes you hold for your children — to stay connected to their language, to excel academically, to feel a sense of belonging, and to have every door open for their future.
We would be honored to meet your family, show you our classrooms, and answer your questions. This private open house is designed especially for Hope Charter families, so you can explore your options in a calm, supportive setting and speak directly with our Chinese Track faculty and school leadership.
Your child’s path forward matters. We are here to help you make the decision that feels right for your family.
Warmly,
the GIS team.
